Waqaa! My name is Matthew Good and it is an honor for me to serve as an educational leader at Chevak School in the Kashunamiut School District. The Chevak School and community takes pride in its Cup’ik culture, which flows freely throughout our hallways and classrooms. As the school principal, I am committed to the responsibility of serving in the best interest of every student in Chevak.
My vision for all Chevak students is for them to have the opportunity to learn their native language and experience their culture, while receiving the education necessary to be successful in their future endeavors. I believe that the school climate plays a major role in supporting the academic needs of our students. I will work to create and maintain a positive school climate where students can feel safe and comfortable while participating in the educational process.
